The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) was the centre for the Festival the last time it came to Manchester in 2007 and was a hugely popular venue.
Since then the college has upgraded its facilities and is now a world-class performance venue with two theatres each with seating for over 600 people, and lighting, sound equipment and technical expertise that most of us can normally only dream of. If we can’t sound good on these stages, then we have no excuse!
The college also has a number of rehearsal and performance rooms of various sizes for the Sunday workshops, and there’s a large reception and relaxing area, a café, a restaurant and a bar. There are two public car parks nearby.
The RNCM is situated just south of the city centre on a major bus route, around 2km from the Massed Sing and Busking sites. It’s close to university student accommodation, and there are plenty of local eateries catering for all tastes.
